Greetings!
To All of my Klentzman Family…
I am super excited to serve as your campus leader of Klentzman Intermediate School.
As an educational leader, I am a passionate educator with over 21 years of experience, with 17 of those years here in Alief ISD. I am a first generation college graduate of my family & am a proud native of La Marque, Texas.
I am a proud graduate of the University of Houston, where I have earned a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies' – ‘Go Coogs! and I have earned a ‘Master of Arts – Teaching’ from the Univ. of Houston-Downtown…’Go Gators’!
As an educator, I began my teaching career 21 years ago in Alief ISD at Outley Elementary & have recently served as an Asst. Principal at Holub Middle School.
Within my roles as an educator for the last 18 years, I have served within various roles regarding Campus Leadership, Instructional Math Coaching, Data Specialist, & Master Teacher. These experiences have afforded me the academic & interpersonal skillset to serve as an exceptional instructional leader, coach, and visionary for Klentzman Intermediate School.
Throughout my career, I not only strive for high success in academics, yet I also focus on continuously building relationships with all stakeholders. I believe in working hard to develop a campus climate that cultivates positive student learning, ensuring safety, and systems that yield long-lasting campus success.
It has always been my greatest passion & deepest intent, as I firmly believe in the power of ‘restoration’ personally & for our school community. When one commits to the work, it allows students the opportunity to trust and believe in themselves’. This belief in turn allows the student to become academically & behaviorally successful. A positive attitude and a belief in all students and staff will ensure a promising and productive school year.
As always, here at KLZ… for the ‘KLZ in ME’…
‘Each day is a band new day to ‘Focus Forward!’
I am Ms. Tukes, & I am #AliefProud!
